Denise found a home in Bradford House in 2008, well before LOFT Community Services began operating within the property in 2013.

Denise’s experience of abuse came to light when a caring acquaintance noticed the impact on her physical and mental well-being. This prompted Denise to explore assisted living options, eventually leading her to Bradford House. From the moment she arrived, Denise felt a sense of security from the property staff, and once LOFT began operating within the property in 2013, the level of care she received only improved. Denise is grateful to LOFT staff for their invaluable personal support, assisting with daily tasks, medication management, and maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment. Denise initially experimented with different living arrangements to find the most suitable treatment model before finding contentment in a private room.

“I am grateful for living at Bradford House as it keeps me connected to my community. The location is wonderful, being close to downtown, and with my power chair funded, I can now independently explore the community.” 

 At Bradford House, we offer housing and a unique mix of customized support to seniors and adults who are struggling with mental and physical health challenges, substance use, poverty, and homelessness. 

Denise cherishes the opportunity to connect with fellow residents who have their own unique experiences and challenges. “Interacting with other residents allows me to truly appreciate the significance of LOFT’s services. The staff provides personalized support to each resident, meeting us where we are. If we need assistance or someone to talk to, they are always there for us.” 

While Denise currently faces new physical health challenges, she remains confident that she is in capable hands to navigate this new chapter. “I know I don’t have to face this journey alone. Moving to Bradford House was the best decision I ever made.”
